ELLELYNE HOME, led by an environmentalist, remains committed to ensuring the environmental and social impact
of our business operations is properly managed to reduce any negative effect on our host communities.
To help promote Environmental & Social Sustainability, we are implementing the following initiatives:
Economic Growth in India (SDG 8)
We have partnered with the Udaan Foundation in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India where most of our artisans work to create beautiful fabrics for your home. ELLELYNE redirects 1% of the revenue from our products made in Jaipur to the Huara Women Empowerment Program run by the Foundation. The program is dedicated towards providing under privileged women with the necessary skills and training opportunities to achieve financial independence and stability.
Quality Education in Nigeria (SDG 4)
In Nigeria, we have weavers creating our trays, placemats, coasters and baskets. We also have a seamstress making our face masks and drawstring bags. In a bid to help promote Education for Sustainability, we honour the aspirations of Ace Charity (a recipient of the Malala Fund) with 1% of our revenue from products sourced from Nigeria. The funds will help provide children in rural communities with access to educational materials.
Responsible Consumption & Production (SDG 12)
While the most effective way to reduce waste is not to create it in the first place, ELLELYNE promotes sustainable living through the sale of reusable face wipes. The bamboo back is preferred to the disposable alternative that creates waste and would otherwise end up in landfill.
The same can be said for the kitchen wipes as opposed to the alternative kitchen paper. In addition, gift wrap cloth is a great replacement for wrapping paper and our environmentally friendly face mask can be washed and reused.
We are pleased to be implementing these initiatives and currently working on others, in particular SDG 13 (Climate Action). Sign up to our newsletter, so you can be updated once we have an Action Plan.
